WHSCL MISSION

The WHSCL provides a fun and welcoming environment, encourages an active lifestyle, builds social bonds, and promotes a love for the sport of rock climbing to high school students across the state of Wisconsin through competitions and weekly practices. 

What is the wisconsin high school climbing league?

The Wisconsin High School Climbing League (WHSCL) is a program geared specifically towards high school students, catering to climbers of all ability levels. The WHSCL currently accommodates over 500 students, from 40 different high schools across the State of Wisconsin , and continues to grow steadily each year! A climbing team is a MUST at every high school!

What to expect

  • Students will be taught all the necessary skills to utilize the facility properly (Knot Tying, Belaying, Bouldering, & Basic Climbing Technique).

  • Each team conducts a predetermined two hour weekly practice.

  • WHSCL community building events.

  • Competitions are held throughout the year (including State Finals!) in both Northeast Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area. Awards are given at each competition.

  • Clinics are offered at an additional cost to students interested in learning more advanced climbing techniques.
